The producer team behind Versana Productions supported the Jordan chapter of Al Safar — In the Footsteps of Ibn Battuta, a cultural photography project for Misk Foundation led by producer Cindy Le Templier and photographed by Yan Bighetti de Flogny. Across 8 shoot days and 20 locations, the work moved through Jordan's heritage, desert, city, coastal, and cultural locations, including Amman, Petra, Little Petra, Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea, Aqaba, Karak, Ma'in, and Wadi Araba. The shoot brought Versana's Jordan production experience into a sensitive location-led production shaped around access, timing, heritage rules, desert movement, and field coordination.

THE BRIEF
Cultural Photography Across Jordan's Heritage and Landscape Range.
Al Safar's Jordan chapter called for cultural photography across a wide route: UNESCO-listed heritage sites and wider Jordan cultural, desert, city, and coastal locations. The production had to move through Petra, Little Petra, Wadi Rum, Amman, Aqaba, Karak, the Dead Sea, Ma'in, Wadi Araba, and additional Jordan locations without losing the visual thread of the project. Each location carried its own rhythm: heritage access, timing restrictions, light, terrain, crew movement, and local coordination. The production needed a field structure that could support Cindy Le Templier's producing requirements and Yan Bighetti de Flogny's photographic approach while staying practical across 20 locations.

Working with producer Cindy Le Templier, the producer team behind Versana Productions supported the Jordan production layer for Al Safar: location planning, access coordination, permits and location rules, crew movement, timing, desert logistics, transport, and field support across 8 shoot days. The work was location-led throughout: reading each site's access and timing, planning around heritage sensitivity, supporting photography-led movement, and keeping the production practical across protected sites, open desert, city locations, coastal routes, and remote terrain.

Field Coordination Across 20 Jordan Locations.
The shoot moved across Jordan's heritage and landscape range: Petra, Little Petra, Wadi Rum, Amman, Aqaba, Karak, the Dead Sea, Ma'in, Wadi Araba, and additional cultural locations. At heritage sites, access and timing were planned around location rules and the sensitivity of protected spaces. In Wadi Rum and Wadi Araba, the production ran on terrain, crew movement, equipment handling, and light. In Amman, Aqaba, Karak, and the Dead Sea, the work required practical city, coastal, and field coordination. Across all 20 locations, the Jordan production layer held the practical side together, adapting the plan to access, timing, terrain, and local conditions so the photography could work from site to site.
